Principality Stadium

In January 2016, Principality Building Society and the Welsh Rugby Union started their 10-year partnership which saw Wales' iconic home ground renamed Principality Stadium with the overarching aim to develop and grow rugby in Wales at all levels.

It's been over 20 years since Principality Stadium opened its doors; where on June 26th, 1999 Wales stormed to their first home victory against defending World Cup Champions South Africa. As the official sponsor of Principality Stadium, we are proud to have been part of its history.

As part of our continued support of Welsh rugby clubs, throughout 2023 and beyond we’ll be announcing a number of initiatives to help support community rugby and the clubhouses that, for many, are the heart of their communities.

Supporting the community

In Autumn 2022 we celebrated Welsh rugby clubhouses by revealing unique murals on three clubhouses in Wales. Designed in collaboration with Welsh artist Rmer One, club members and some familiar faces who made their sporting debut there, these pieces of art help to tell the unique story of the club and celebrate their importance within their community.
