Principality celebrates Shared Ownership milestone

Following the successful re-launch of Shared Ownership mortgages in March 2024, we are proud to announce we have surpassed over £30m in lending, meaning almost 500 first-time buyers have got the keys to their first home.

Shared ownership housing schemes are government supported initiatives designed to meet the needs of first-time buyers aiming to make new homes more accessible to homeowners and first-time buyers.

The Building Society has helped over 8,000 first-time buyers purchase a home in 2023, and have seen market participants taking advantage of a diverse range of new build options to support their house purchase. This has encouraged the Society to promote new build boosts as part of its first-time buyer campaign, Making More Possible.
